Hainan Airlines Company Limited (HNA) est une compagnie aérienne basée à Haikou, République populaire de Chine. Hainan Airlines is one of only seven airlines rated as five-star by Skytrax, along with All Nippon Airways, Asiana Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Malaysia Airlines, Qatar Airways, et Singapore Airlines. Hainan Airlines was established in October 1989 as Hainan Province Airlines in Hainan, the largest special economy zone in China. It was then renamed as Hainan Airlines and became China’s first joint-stock air-transport enterprise in January 1993 and began scheduled services on 2 Mai 1993. Hainan Airlines also plan to set up a Cargo division operating freighter aircraft in 2012 and invest in Turkish carrier ACT Airlines Cargo. Hainan Airlines has established seven airline bases in Beijing, Xi’an, Taiyuan, Urumqi, Guangzhou, Lanzhou, Dalian and Shenzhen, as well as an extensive network across the People’s Republic of China, and connecting Asia, Europe, America and Africa. It serves nearly 500 domestic and international routes and flies to more than 90 villes. Hainan operates international regular flights and offers charter flights to various destinations such as flights from Beijing to Almaty, Toronto, Berlin, Bruxelles, Seattle, Novossibirsk, St. Petersburg, Moscou, and Chicago; Beijing to Luanda (transfer in Dubai); Beijing, Xi’an, Dalian, Ningbo, Guangzhou, Haikou to Taipei; Urumqi to Astana; Sanya to Seoul; Beijing, Haikou, Hangzhou to Bangkok; Dalian via Hefei to Singapore and others. Hainan also received approval from the US DOT to begin nonstop flights between Beijing and Chicago. Starting in June 2014, Hainan Airlines will serve Boston Logan International Airport directly with service four times weekly from Beijing Capital Airport on the Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft in a two-class configuration. It is the first direct flight between Boston and China.
Hainan Airlines’s frequent-flyer program is called Fortune Wings Club. The airlines’s subsidiaries Hong Kong Airlines, Hong Kong Express Airways, Lucky Air, China West Air are also parts of the program.
