Nauru International Airport (IATA: INU, ICAO: ANYN) (Nauruan: Reikoariata Republik Naoero) is the sole airport on the island of the Republic of Nauru. Nauru International Airport is currently serving 4 international destinations, with Nauru’s national Airline, Our Airline.
The Nauru Airport’s airstrip was built during the Japanese occupation of Nauru using forced labor and became operational in January 1943. After World War II it was converted to a civilian airport. The Nauru Airport has the head office of Our Airline. Since September 2006, Air Nauru has resumed operations under the new name, Our Airline, with a Boeing 737-300 consuming nearly 30% of the nation’s GDP. Two Boeing 737-300 were bought later respectively in 2008 and 2013 to serve Nauru.
Nauru International Airport serves as the main hub of the national carrier, Our Airline, formerly known as Air Nauru. Flights by the above named carrier originate in Brisbane, Australia. Flights are also available from Nauru to Majuro, Nadi and Tarawa.

It’s was summer trip aboard at Nauru Airport last April and as expected it was hot and humid with only tiny cute fans to cool you off and hard plastic monoblock chairs. (good luck to accommodate everyone with that!.)
The airport immigration check clearance office inside were air conditioned, so people who cannot tolerate the weather they were staying nearby the office for a cooling off moments. 😀
