Memphis International Airport (IATA: MEM, ICAO: KMEM, FAA LID: MEM) is a civil-military airport seven miles (11.2 km) southeast of downtown Memphis, in Shelby County, Tennessee.

Memphis International Airport is home to the FedEx Express global “SuperHub,” which processes many of their packages. Nonstop FedEx destinations from Memphis include cities across the continental U.S., plus Anchorage and Honolulu, as well as Canadian, Mexican, and Caribbean cities. Intercontinental FedEx flights include: Cologne, Dubai, Paris, London, São Paulo (Campinas), Seoul and Tokyo.

Memphis is ranked the 41st busiest US airport by enplanements with 4,598,186 passengers using the airport in 2013, a 32% decrease from the previous year. Delta Air Lines dropped Memphis as a hub airport after continually reducing its flights after its 2008 merger with Northwest Airlines. As of January 2014, MEM averages 86 passenger flights per day and Delta served MEM with 30 flights per day as the airport was officially de-hubbed by Delta.

The Memphis Airport was ranked the sixth most expensive US airport to fly out of in 2012, with an average fare of $480.00.

Art Exhibits: Art displays can be seen throughout the airport. Additionally, you can visit the Belz Museum of Asian and Judaic Art located in the B-C connector.
ATMs / Cash Machines – Locations: Ticket Lobby (landside) and the Concourse B Rotunda (airside).
Car Rentals – Alamo • Avis • Budget • Dollar • Enterprise • Hertz • National • Thrifty. Location: All car rental companies are located off-site. Courtesy phones are located near the exits in the Baggage Claim area.
Concerts: Quartets from the Memphis Symphony Orchestra perfrom classical music. Location: in the passenger connector near the Blue Note Café and across from the food court in the Concourse B rotunda.
Currency Exchange – There are foreign exchange offices located in Concourse B (airside) and Ticketing Lobby B (landside).
Food / Dining – At the time of this update there were no 24 hour food concessions. Most food options close down around 7:30pm.
