Dallas-Fort Worth Airport Reviews

Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (IATA: DFW, ICAO: KDFW, FAA LID: DFW) is the primary international airport serving the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex in the U.S. state of Texas. It is the largest hub for American Airlines, which is headquartered near the airport.

DFW or Dallas-Fort Worth Airport has a total area of 17,207 acres (69.634 km2), making it the largest airport in Texas and the second largest in the United States (behind Denver International Airport). It is the third busiest airport in the world by aircraft movements, and the eighth busiest airport in the world by passenger traffic. It is the tenth busiest international gateway in the United States and second busiest in Texas (behind Houston Intercontinental).

Dallas-Fort Worth Airport is located in the cities of Irving, Euless, Grapevine, and Coppell, between the major cities of Dallas and Fort Worth. It has its own post office ZIP code and United States Postal Service city designation (“DFW Airport, TX”), as well as its own police, fire protection, and emergency medical services. The members of the airport’s Board of Directors are appointed by the “owner cities” of Dallas and Fort Worth, with a non-voting member chosen from the airport’s four neighboring cities on a rotating basis.

As of June 2013, Dallas-Fort Worth Airport had service to a total of 200 destinations, including 52 international and 148 U.S. domestic destinations. With the addition of nonstop flights to Doha by Qatar Airways on July 2014, DFW will serve 205 total destinations including 57 international destinations.
