Chicago O’Hare International Airport (IATA: ORD, ICAO: KORD, FAA LID: ORD), also known as O’Hare Airport, O’Hare Field, Chicago International Airport, or simply O’Hare, is a major airport located in the northwestern-most corner of Chicago, Illinois, United States, 17 miles (27 km) northwest of the Chicago Loop (the CBD). It is the primary airport serving the Chicago area, with Chicago Midway International Airport, about 10 miles (16 km) closer to the Loop, serving as a secondary airport for low-cost carriers.

United Airlines (including United Express) is the largest airline at O’Hare, carrying over 45% of passengers. O’Hare is the second-largest hub for United, after Houston-Bush. American Airlines (including American Eagle) has the second largest operation at O’Hare, carrying 37.08% of passengers. O’Hare is American Airlines’ second-largest hub, after Dallas/Fort Worth.

Until 2005, Chicago O’Hare Airport was the world’s busiest airport in takeoffs and landings. Until 1998, O’Hare was the busiest airport in the world in number of passengers.

Chicago O’Hare Airport has been voted the “Best Airport in North America” for 10 years by two separate sources: Readers of the U.S. Edition of Business Traveler Magazine (1998–2003) and Global Traveler Magazine (2004–2007).

Cots – there are 30 or so, mostly unoccupied tonight. Just past Gate K1.
Currency Exchange – Locations: Terminal 1 (Gates B10 • C20) Terminal 3 (Gate K11) • Terminal 5 (Concourse M, Baggage and Ticketing Levels).
Food / Dining – There are 24-hour food and beverage concessions at O’Hare in Terminal 3: Dunkin Donuts (Concourse H, Gate H6) • McDonalds (Concourse H, Gate H5 and Gate H10) • McDonalds (Concourse K, Gate K8)
Health Club – Non-Guests can pay a small fee for a day pass to use the Hilton Athletic Club. The facilities have a steam room, sauna, lap pool, Jacuzzi and full service locker rooms. The Hilton Chicago O’Hare is located directly across from Terminals 1, 2 and 3. Rate: unknown.

Yoga Room – Travelers get their downward dog on in this 15x16ft yoga room. A wall-mounted tv displays yoga poses to follow. There is no change room, but there is a nearby bathroom on the Mezzanine where you can change clothes. Location: Terminal 3, Mezzanine Level, Airside. Hours: 6am – 10pm.
Internet: WiFi is available for a fee at the Chicago O’Hare Airport.
